Before you begin your application, please have the following ready:

• Study options: Ensure that you meet the admission requirements for your preferred qualifications.
• Own valid email address: Create or use your own active email address (for example, Gmail). Do not use a parent’s, friend’s, or school email address. Each applicant may use only one email address.
• ID document or passport (for international applicants) saved in digital format (PDF or JPEG).
• Final Grade 11 or Grade 12 results in digital format (PDF or JPEG).
• A non-refundable administration fee of:
  • R150.00 for prospective South African students
  • R600.00 for international applicants
• Undertaking form: Complete the undertaking form and upload it under the “Electronic Documents” screen during the application process.

Start your application by creating your NWU student number and memorable PIN.

• After you have created your login details, click on Application Login & Reset.

Distance Education applicants

Please download, complete, and upload the relevant PR02 form for your qualification during the application process:

• PR02 – Advanced Certificate in Teaching: Foundation Phase
• PR02 – Advanced Certificate in Teaching: Intermediate Phase
• PR02 – Advanced Certificate in Teaching: Senior Phase
• PR02 – Diploma in Grade R
• PR02 – Advanced Certificate in Teaching: FET Phase

You will be able to upload the completed form under the “Electronic Documents” screen.

Please note

• Applications submitted after the closing date will automatically be cancelled.
• You may still upload outstanding supporting documents after submitting your application.
• It is illegal to use an ID number that does not belong to you when creating an NWU student number.
